Just a quick thank you for all your assistance with my research project! Much appreciated and keep up the good work. From Alison Changer - http://ping.fm/NWERP
Mis sold PPI is not just for loans and credit cards, PPI can be reclaimed from the following official categories.

The four main PPI Categories which include technological purchases are…

(a) PPI on first-charge mortgages;

(b) PPI on second-charge mortgages and other secured loans;

(c) PPI on unsecured loans (mostly comprising PPI for personal loans, but also including PPI on retail credit, such as car loans, hire purchase and catalogue purchases); and

(d) PPI on credit card repayments.

So basically if you have any of the following, Mortgage, Secured Loans, Unsecured Loans, Car Loan, or any other Hire Purchase agreement eg. Catalogue or Store Card you could have been mis sold PPI.

In addition to this, to make PPI Claims easier for the consumer, PPI compensation could reach £2.7bn, says regulator. Compensation payments could stretch over five years. Two and three quarter million people could be refunded as much as £2.7bn for being mis-sold Payment Protection Insurance (PPI). The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has given banks and other lenders until 1 December to adopt new rules for dealing with PPI complaints.[8]
